Low Sodium @ the outlet mall

I took a trip down to the outlet mall in Grand Prairie, TX today. It's amazing how much of a time consuming place that is. To keep up my stamina while I shopped for boots (and an amazing cat shirt I found!), I partook in some low sodium food and drinks.

I cannot have more than 800mg in a single meal or I will get very sick. I also can't have caffeine or everything will be spinning so bad I can't see straight. My lovely little episodes of vertigo and ear pain last for a grueling 4 days straight. I have to be strict with my diet so I can be a functioning member of society.

First, Auntie Annie's has always had the best pretzels in the entire world. Once I learned I could no longer eat their soft, buttery, salty pretzels, my world got a little bleaker. But fear not! I have found a lower sodium pretzel at Auntie Annie's! They sell unsalted pretzels. It's a little harder and crunchier because it doesn't have all that preztel butter to soften it up. Their website states their unsalted preztel with no butter is 400mg. Definitely under the 800mg threshold.

This was the best picture I could get, because I practically inhaled it.

I came across a Starbucks walking around the outdoor mall. There are very low sodium options for drinks at Starbucks. I can't have caffeine, so I'm limited to 2 iced teas and 1 bottled drink. I wasn't about to be one of those weirdos out in public who take pictures of their Starbucks drinks, so I'm going to provide you with a screenshot instead. Behold! The iced tea lemonade! The 12oz cup is only 5mg of sodium, and the 16oz is 10mg. It's also caffeine free.

There is a bottled drink that is only 10mg of sodium for the entire bottle. I was in the farthest right isle of famous footwear when I snuck this picture. I didn't want to be one of those weirdos, but yet there I was. No one saw me, so there. Bottled lemonade! I have a thing for lemonade if you haven't noticed.

Check out the Starbucks website. The hot caramel apple cider is 30mg for a 16oz but that's too much sodium in a drink for me. My threshold is 15mg for drinks. If you can handle 30mg (or 25mg for a 12oz), that would be a good option for you.

Until next time! Peace! ✌️

PS - Look at my amazing new cat shirt! Its made from my cat lady dreams! 😻
